The Interreg 3DFORMWORKS project was officially launched on 28 January 2025 at INISMa in Mons, Belgium, with around fifty participants from industry and academia.

The Interreg 3DFORMWORKS project was officially launched on 28 January 2025 at INISMa in Mons, Belgium, with around fifty participants from industry and academia. The event provided an opportunity to explore advances in the field of 3D printing applied to concrete, whether for use in construction or refractory applications. The day was an opportunity to exchange ideas and learn more from the project's experts and researchers.

The day's programme includes

 

  • General presentation of the 3DFORMWORKS project, to give participants a better understanding of its objectives and expected impacts.
  • The project also aims to qualify the new generation in the field of 3D concrete printing, and the doctoral students involved in the project, from IMT Nord Europe and the LaMé and CRISAL laboratories, were able to present their research.
  • The morning continued with two presentations on the key results obtained as part of the Bextrus project, a research project supported by the Walloon Region.
  • After a lunch break, the afternoon began with three presentations, from the LaMé laboratory, the ITM NE, and the CRIStAL laboratory respectively, mainly presenting the results of the Interreg NWE CIRMAP project.
  • Finally, the day concluded with an open discussion and a visit to the BCRC facilities (INISMa-CRIBC).
