3Dformworks : Progress and prospects

A look back at our cross-border event on 10 February 2026!

On 10 February, 43 participants gathered at the University of Lille, specifically at the CRIStAL laboratory, for a day-long event focusing on the initial findings of the Interreg 3DFORMWORKS project, followed by a convivial lunch and a tour of the CRIStAL laboratory in the afternoon!

Au programme de la journée :

10:00 AM: Welcome coffee

10:30 AM: Presentation of the 3Dformworks project

10:45 AM: Partner presentations:

  • Sandra Abdelouhab (INISMA) - Understanding the curing mechanisms of sol-gel bonded refractory inks for 3D printing
  • Khadija El Cheikh (Buildwise) - "How to formulate and characterize a printable mortar for 3D concrete formwork?"
  • Sébastien Remond (University of Orléans) - "Formulation and characterization of low-carbon printable mortars: optimization of admixture and stacking of compound binders"
  • Louise Betremieux (IMT Nord Europe) - "Study of the reactivity of mineral additions for the formulation of a low-carbon cementitious ink for 3D concrete printing." »
  • University of Lille -  AI-based predictive methodology for the automation of robotic 3D printing using low-carbon cementitious ink.

1:00 PM: Lunch Reception

2:15 PM: Visit to the CRIStAL Laboratory (University of Lille)

CRIStAL (Lille Research Center for Computer Science, Signal Processing and Automation) is a joint research unit (UMR 9189) under the supervision of the CNRS, the University of Lille, and Centrale Lille, in collaboration with Inria at the University of Lille. CRIStAL covers a wide range of topics in digital science, from the most fundamental to the most applied.
