On 25 September, the 3DFORMWORKS project took part in the 5th edition of Researchers’ Night, held at Nausicaá. This event gave the project teams the opportunity to engage with the general public and present their work on robotic 3D printing and its many applications.
Throughout the evening, visitors were able to discover this innovative technology as well as the activities developed as part of the 3DFORMWORKS project. The aim was to make research advances accessible and to demonstrate in practical terms how robotic 3D printing can address current challenges in industry and construction.
This event generated genuine interest amongst the public. Nearly 250 visitors came to talk to the teams present, leading to numerous fruitful discussions about the innovations driven by the project.
Visitors were particularly impressed by the technology’s low-carbon aspects and the possibility of using local materials – two key considerations at the heart of the work carried out as part of 3DFORMWORKS.
Beyond showcasing technological advances, the event provided an opportunity to raise public awareness of the challenges facing research and innovation, whilst fostering dialogue between scientists, industry representatives and members of the public.
The entire consortium would like to extend its warmest thanks to the visitors who came to meet them and is delighted by the interest shown in the technologies developed as part of the 3DFORMWORKS project.
