The CRIStAL team is working on the design and integration of system-of-systems architectures, combining robotic arms, multi-physical sensors, and supervision modules to enable fine-grained, real-time control of additive manufacturing processes.
Through a digitalisation-driven approach, the laboratory develops advanced cyber-physical architectures that allow dynamic interaction between robots, digital twins, and process-related data flows.
The CRIStAL laboratory (UMR 9189 CNRS – University of Lille – Centrale Lille) contributes its expertise in advanced robotics and cyber-physical systems applied to the 3D printing of refractory materials. It develops control architectures that integrate sensors, robots, and supervision systems to operate processes in real time.
The team designs adaptive estimation models and leverages AI for predictive compensation, anticipating deviations during printing. This approach significantly enhances manufacturing quality. CRIStAL works closely with industrial partners to automate these processes in complex environments.
